What Does God Expect from Us Today?
In our own life we have many expectations from things, like from our spouses, children, our jobs, our employers, employees, etc. We become upset, often times when those expectations are not met. How do you think God feels when we don’t meet up to His expectations. Do we strive to be the person God wants us to be?
In Micah 6 :8 it tells us, He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? God is not expecting us to do extraordinary things that would be out of our reach. God makes his expectations simple and easy for us to succeed as a Christian.
A few examples shown to us in the bible such as Ephesians 4:32 where it says to be kind and compassionate one to another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you. God does not expect anything different than what he expected from his own Son that walked as man upon this earth. Another example would be in Ephesians 6 :1-2, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your Father and Mother, which is the first commandment with promise. Obedience to God is a key in reaching the goal of many expectations.
Having expectations as a Christian, is a goal we should all make for ourselves. It’s simple and easy to obtain. And that is all that God expects from us today.
