What Can the Cross Do for You Today?

Jesus' death on the cross focus was on the profound act of humility and surrender.

We have heard many of the old hymns about the Cross like “The Old Rugged Cross” That old, rugged cross stood tall, its resonance cutting through time. This hymn paints a vivid picture of the cross, weathered and worn, yet a symbol of divine grace.

At the Cross” was a hymn that carried a melody that resonates across generations. It draws you into a sacred space where the cross becomes a sanctuary for reflection. Its verses gently remind us that at the cross, our burdens find solace, and our hearts find redemption.  Another hymn “Near the Crossis an invitation to draw close to the epicenter of divine love. Through its verses, you can feel the warmth of God’s mercy radiating from the cross. It’s a hymn that beckons you to a sacred proximity, where healing and redemption intertwine in the shadow of the “Kneel at the Cross” is a hymn that brings us to our knees when we are at our lowest and the humility we sustain, when we need answers from our Lord Jesus Christ.  The depth of God's love and the power of the cross was to redeem humanity submission: This is the same humility that we should imitate. We need to approach the cross with a humble heart, and we need to acknowledge our need for God's grace and forgiveness.

We read in Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Also in Philippians 2:8 it tells us, And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Christ gave us life when he gave up his. The significance of the Cross is that the cross is the central symbol of Christianity, representing Jesus' sacrifice for our sins. As sinners and Christians, we should approach the cross with a posture of repentance acknowledging our need for forgiveness and receiving God's grace through Jesus' sacrifice.

The cross can also bring us to Repentance and Transformation. When kneeling at the cross it takes us to a moment to reflect on one's life, confess sin, and seek transformation through Jesus' power.

The Cross gives us a Hope and Redemption. The depth of God's love demonstrated through Jesus' death on the cross, gave us this offering of hope and redemption.

When we see a cross, let us not take it for granted. Let us realize the importance of the death of Jesus Christ on that cross, which has carried over those blessings today.
