What is your life
James 4:14 tells us, it is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Our lives are like vapor, so fragile, so unpredictable, too brief to waste by living it on our own terms. We must live it on God’s terms for He gave it and to Him we must eventually give an account. Romans 14:12 says, so then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."
What is the Definition of Life: it is the period between the birth and death of a living thing, especially a human being:
Spiritual life is the life that is most important. It is the life lived in and with God. Just as physical life begins when our physical heart starts beating, our spiritual life begins when our spiritual heart starts beating. More specifically, spiritual life begins when we are “born again.”
How is life measured in the bible? Here are a few scriptures:
- As the bloom on a flower – Isaiah 40:8
- As grass that withers – I Peter 1:24
- As a shadow – Job 14:2
- As water spilled on the ground – II Samuel 14:14
- As a tale that is told – Psalm 90:9
- As a deep sleep – Psalm 90:5
- As swift as a weaver’s shuttle – Job 7:6
- As “a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” James 4:14
Here we can see that life is brief and we need to make the best of it while we can.
We must meditate daily on our own life and ask ourselves questions like:
- Who am I?
- Why am I here?
- What is the purpose of my life?
- Is my life a meaningful life?
- What is the value of my life?
- What am I living for?
- Where do I go after this life?
Are there changes that you need to make to make your life more pleasing to God.
-Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?
-Is it everything you had hoped your life would be?
-Most importantly: Is it everything God wants it to be?
-Do you put Jesus first in your life?
These questions are to provoke us to think of how important life is and how quickly our life can come to an end.
Today I want you to Remember this: life with Christ is an endless hope; life without Christ is a hopeless end!
In Jesus Christ life is: A Gift …. receive it Today before your life on this earth is over!
