The NCAA !

Well, it is that time of year again, basketball enthusiasts are all excited to see who will make it to the final four. There will be millions of people over the next two weeks traveling millions of miles and spending millions of dollars to attend these tournament games. I often wonder what church buildings would look like if people got excited about spiritual things, like they do about sports. I wonder what the offering would look like if people would give so freely to church as they do to the NCAA.

Let’s look at the Spiritual Four for a few minutes:

Never-Ending; This represents God’s eternal love and presence.

Lamentations 3:22-23 says, The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning. God’s grace is everlasting, offering hope and renewal each day.

Christ- Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of faith, embodies love, sacrifice, and redemption.

John 14:6 tells us, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through Me.

Almighty God- He is the ultimate source of strength and power. In Psalms 91:1-2 it reads, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty, I will say to the Lord, My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. His almighty nature assures us that we can find refuge in Him.

Abundant – This reflects God’s overflowing blessings. John, 10:10 reminds us as it reads,

I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly. God’s generosity is boundless, extending not only to our spiritual lives but to every facet of existence.

On April the 7 th, the NCAA will be over; the national championship will have been determined. The scriptures that we refer to in this article will still be in place. God will still be on his throne. He will always be the Champion.  Think about it!
