We were born in TIME, and we die in TIME
Ephesians 5:15-16 reminds us “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
An anonymous poet wrote:
“I have only just a minute
Just sixty seconds in it.
Forced upon me – can’t refuse it,
Didn’t seek it, didn’t choose it.
I must suffer if I lose it,
Give account if I abuse it.
Just a tiny little minute
But eternity is in it.”
Have you ever pondered how valuable your time is? Are you wasting your time or redeeming your time for God? As it says in Ephesians 5:16, Are you making the most of every opportunity in these evil days?
We must correctly appraise our time because time is sacred, it is a gift from God.
Our time here on this earth is short as we can read in several scriptures like:
I Cor. 7:29“But this I say, brethren, the time is short.”
James 4:14 “You do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”
Psalm 90:10 As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, or if due to strength, eighty years, yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; for soon it is gone and we fly away.”
VS 12 “So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.”
An unknown author wrote:
When, as a child, I laughed and wept, time crept;
When, as a youth, I dreamed and talked, time walked
When I became a full grown man, time ran;
And later, as I grew older , time flew;
Soon I shall find, while traveling on,
time will be gone.”
Let us never forget what it says in Luke 16:2, we must, “Give account of your stewardship” ….while there is time.
