Amazing
I was reading an article the other day on the origin of life. There was an astounding statement found, AEvery cell in your body contains more information in it's DNA than is in an Encyclopedia Britannica. Let=s ponder about that idea for a few moments.
The Encyclopedia Britannica contains a lot of information! I remember well in school, going to the library to look information in an Encyclopedia. There is so much good information on so many things. It would take weeks to just casually read a set of Encyclopedias. Yet DNA which stands for deoxyribonucleic acid, is the genetic program that is Awritten or the master plan of all life or the blueprints for all the proteins made in a cell, which is what makes our bodies. But how did it get Awritten to begin with? Now to any sane, rational person, you've got to believe that this didn't happen by blind chance or dumb luck! For the complexity of the information is staggering. Could 1000 monkeys banging around on a 1000 typewriters come up with just one paragraph from the Encyclopedia Britannica, let alone the whole of it? There has to be a Creator, God! Yes indeed.
The human body has more than 10 trillion (10,000,000,000,000) cells. Most cells are so small they can be seen only with a microscope. It would take about 40,000 of your red blood cells to fill this letter O. It takes millions of cells to make up the skin on the palm of your hand. Now consider that each cell having the DNA molecule, which has more information than a set of Encyclopedia Britannica. That means there are more than 10 trillion (10,000,000,000,000) DNA molecules in a human body. But since each the DNA molecule contains more information that a set of Encyclopedia Britannica, that means there is more information in each persons cells, than 10 trillion (10,000,000,000,000) sets of Encyclopedia Britannica! Now that is Amazing. How many books total are in the world. Would it be 200 trillion? (An average set of Encyclopedia is 20 volumes). I am reminded of what the Psalmist said, AI will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Ps.139:14. God is Amazing!
