Death at Gaza
I was watching a documentary type program on TV the other day with the above title, "Death At Gaza". It was about some British journalist who was in Gaza interviewing various people about the problems in that part of the world. There were 2 young boys, age 12, that they were interviewing that desired to be martyrs for Allah, (The god of Islam). I was amazed that these 2 boys had this kind of mind set. It reveals the root of much of the problems of the Middle East, that children are being taught these erroneous ideas from young, by word and by example. In Proverbs 22:6 we read, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." What we have in our example, is that these children are being trained up in the wrong way, and when they get older they do not depart from it. And then they pass that hatred, animosity, bitterness, false religion, the desire for martyrdom, the crazy thinking that continues to plague that part of the world, to the next generation. The hope is that the erroneousness thinking can be stopped in the lives of some of them. That folks could be converted and that the principles of the gospel could begin to work as a leaven to permeate the society in time. "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" 2 Cor. 10:5. But so many have such deep prejudice and animosity for anything that is called Christianity. Their exposure is to Catholicism, Greek orthodox and such perverse forms of so-called Christianity. If only they could see and hear about, what true N.T. Christianity is, as ordained by Jesus. Then they could see the superiority of the blessing in Christ. They could realize that they are following a worthless religion that is based upon false promises. "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Pr. 14:12. Jesus is the only way to God, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6, Mohamed or the false god Allah will not save them.
