Positive and Negative Thinking. Which one applies to you?
Any situation that comes our way, we must make a choice about how we deal with them. Do we go at it with a positive attitude or a negative attitude? Negative thinking consist of bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, sadness, frustration, and adds stress. Negative thoughts will consume one’s mind and will have physical affects to the body. We must guard our hearts against negative thoughts as we are told in Proverbs 4:23, Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. We must try daily to live it with positive thoughts and actions. Positive thinking means approaching life's challenges with a positive outlook. Positive thinking does not necessarily mean avoiding difficult situations. Instead, positive thinking means making the most of potential obstacles, trying to see the best in other people, and viewing yourself and your abilities in a positive light. Examples of positive thinking would be words like, Joyful, Grateful Hopeful, Optimistic, Confident, Content and Inspiration. A few steps to help cultivate a positive mindset would be to start speaking positive words, look for the good in every situation and person, Take charge of your thoughts. Fix your thoughts on what is true, good, right, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. Filter out negative thoughts and feed your mind with positive things. God's Word is the greatest source of good thoughts. Fill your mind with His promises and truths. Never surrender to negativity When negative emotions arise, admit them, face them, but don't give in to them. Replace anger with love, fear with faith, complaining with gratitude, bitterness with forgiveness, and self-pity with helping others. Pray out your emotions and seek victory through prayer.
Cultivating positive thoughts is essential for a fulfilling life. Your positive thoughts have the power to shape your relationships, your success, and your overall
well-being. Choose to speak positive words, look for the good, take charge of your thoughts, and never surrender to negativity. With God's help, you can develop a positive attitude that will transform your life.
