God vs Satan!
Some people who have trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior have suffered repeated defeat throughout their lives because they don’t realize they have a spiritual enemy. Many mock the idea of a literal devil, but the scripture clearly states that Satan is real, and his goal is to draw people away from God, to have them to serve his purposes, and to cause division. Satan is a liar, a master of deception and no one is immune to his attempts to deceive. Therefore, to stand firm against his lies, believers in Christ need to understand his strategies.
What is a satanic attack? It’s a deliberate, willful assault by Satan upon an individual for the purpose of doing harm of the spirit, soul or body, or all three. These attacks could come at any time or from anywhere. The devil tries to trip us up when we are at weakest and knows who or what to use as a lure. He often tempts us with what we do not need or should not have as he seeks to bring us down.
Romans 8:5-6 says, For those who according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. Satan’s battleground is in the mind. He directs our minds to our desires. Satan comes at us when we are at our weakest. Satan creates doubt in our mind, especially when it comes to the Word of God. The devil is deceptive and loves to create division. Satan is out to destroy our soul.
Some things to ponder on is that God wants us to know him and be still, while Satan rushes you. God will aways reassure you, when Satan frightens you. God leads you, and Satan pushes you. God is there to enlightens you, when Satan will be there to confuse you. God will put his arms around you to calm you, while Satan stresses you. God encourages you. Satan will always discourage you for doing what is right. God will comfort you in troublesome times, while Satan will place worries upon you. Again, always remember and be aware that Satan’s battleground is in the mind.
Who do you choose this day to follow? God that is the God of eternal bliss or Satan the god of this world, full of heartache and eternal punishment?
